You said to me that you thought that the sadness of the Pacific Ocean must be contagious, that you thought that the sad, salty body of the Pacific was coming out of your eyes. Now I think I understand what it might mean to be in two places at once. We poured our sweat into the salt of the Atlantic so many years ago, and now it's coming out of your eyes. It's coming out of my eyes too, and I'm no where near the ocean. "Oh, when I am far away on your briny ocean's toss, will you ever heave a sigh and a wish for me?"
